Accessibility Statement for Champion Bay Senior High School Website

Champion Bay Senior High School cares about all our customers and is committed to facilitating and improving the accessibility and usability of its website, www.championbayshs.wa.edu.au (the “Website”). 

We endeavour to ensure that our Website services and content are accessible to persons with disabilities including, but not limited to users of screen reader and other assistive technology. 

Design

To accomplish this, Champion Bay Senior High School partnered with Concise Digital Pty Ltd, a leading Australian digital agency with expertise in WCAG compliance to design and build the structure of the Website to conform and comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (WCAG-2.2)  Level AA.   

The Website was carefully designed so that the design would meet WCAG Level AA compliance. During the build process, the Website was thoroughly tested by Concise Digital using accessibility testing tools to identify issues and remediate any errors to ensure that the structure of the Website would conform with WCAG Level AA. 

Conformance

At the date of launch on 18/11/2024, the structure of the Website was successfully tested by Concise Digital using accessibility testing tools and found to be error-free and meet WCAG Level AA. With this conformance, the structure of the Website was deemed to comply with relevant legislation and regulations in Australia and elsewhere around the world. 

The accessibility testing by Concise Digital included testing the page content on the website. As at 18/11/2024, the text and image content was found to be error free and meet WCAG Level AA.  

It is the responsibility of Champion Bay Senior High School to create, implement and maintain the content on the Website to conform and comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (WCAG-2.2)  Level AA.

Please be aware that our efforts to maintain accessibility and usability are ongoing. 

Disclaimer

While we strive to make the Website accessible to conform with the guidelines, you may encounter some issues, including with linked or embedded video content. The range of assistive technology is wide and varied, and issues may be encountered with different assistive technology. The Website and its content may display differently in different web browsers and browser versions, especially old or less popular browsers. 

The Website may utilise, link to, or interface with content and pages on third party websites that we do not control or the Website may use third party widgets which are not all 100% compliant. These third parties may not have undertaken the efforts that Champion Bay Senior High School has to comply with WCAG-2.2  AA standards and as a result, you may encounter website content that is not accessible.
