Champion Bay Clontarf Academy

The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and by doing so equip them to participate more meaningfully in society.

 Champion Bay Academy, in partnership with (school), works with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander male students to ensure they attend school regularly, complete Year 12 and successfully transition into employment or further study.

 Staffed by full-time mentors, the Champion Bay Academy room is a welcoming and inclusive space which is designed to foster positive learning and personal growth for academy members. The academy room acts as a home-base for Clontarf students before and after school, at recess and lunch, and during designated academy time. The rooms are designed to be self-reliant and are equipped with cooking and washing facilities, computers and entertainment equipment.

  • Camps to regional and remote locations
  • Health and wellbeing sessions
  • Local community activities
  • Worksite visits at local employers and with Clontarf partners.
